Night Canoe Adventure
Join our guide for a canoe adventure in the Småland wilderness after dark. We set out as daylight slowly fades and continue paddling as dusk turns into darkness.
Equipped with headlamps and life jackets, we leave the shore behind and experience how the lake changes as the light disappears. Along the way, your guide shares stories and knowledge about the lake, the darkness and the wildlife that becomes active at night.
Once we are out on the lake, we stop and switch off all our lights. Total darkness. No lights. Just the lake and the forest around us. We let the canoes float completely still and spend a few minutes in silence.
Listen to the sounds of the forest and the water, let your eyes adjust to the darkness and experience what it feels like to be surrounded by nature with virtually no light pollution.
When the sky is clear, we take time to look up and experience the stars far away from the lights of towns and cities.

Is Night Canoe Adventure a scary experience??
No, absolutely not!
Night Canoe Adventure is not about horror or creating an uncomfortable feeling. These are genuine nature and adventure experiences that take place after dark. Darkness changes the experience and makes us perceive nature, our surroundings and our senses in a completely different way.
Is it completely dark?
Yes. We are out in the Småland wilderness, far from larger towns and bright artificial lighting.
Headlamps and all other necessary equipment are provided and used.
Do I need to bring my own headlamp?
No. Headlamps and any special equipment required for the activity are provided by us.
Can I participate if I’m afraid of the dark?
That depends on how you personally experience darkness. The activities are not designed to scare you and there are no surprise elements or horror effects.
However, we are genuinely out in nature after dark, which naturally feels very different from experiencing the same environment during the day.
